A Study on the Application of the Product-oriented Approach in Middle School English Reading Teaching
Abstract
reading teaching is facing new challenges in enhancing students' language application abilities. Current teaching practices commonly suffer
from issues such as single teaching modes, low student interest, and slow progress in ability improvement. [1] The Product-oriented Approach
(POA), as a newly emerging teaching method, emphasizes a balance between "input" and "output" with the aim of stimulating student interest
through practical activities and improving language application abilities. Although POA is recognized and has demonstrated effectiveness internationally, its application in middle school English reading teaching research remains relatively scarce, and empirical support is lacking. [2] This
study focuses on the application of POA in middle school English reading teaching, aiming to explore its impact on students' reading achievement and learning attitudes, provide reference for teaching practices, and promote the overall development of students.
