The Development and Practice of STEAM curriculum with the Theme of "Design and Making" in Upper Primary School -- Takes "Making Solar Car" as an Example
Abstract
the course guides students through the complete engineering process from problem definition, solution design, prototype development to testing optimization. The project effectively enhanced students interdisciplinary understanding, hands-on skills, and innovative thinking while
improving teachers curriculum development and instructional capabilities. The open-ended material list, process-based evaluation system, and
safety protocols adopted in the course provide a replicable implementation model for similar STEAM programs, contributing positively to the
integration of engineering education with sustainable development education at the elementary level.
