An Applied Analysis of the Effect of Ecological Theme Teaching on Improving High School Students' English Writing Proficiency

Abstract


This study is based on the "contextualized and interdisciplinary" teaching requirements stipulated in the "General High School
English Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition)". It is supported by the task-based teaching method and the theory of the Zone of Proximal Development, focusing on the enhancement effect of ecological theme teaching on high school students' English writing skills. By analyzing the
research trends of ecological teaching at home and abroad, it is found that current research on ecological English education mostly remains at
the theoretical level, lacking practical cases support and effect verification. Based on this, It designed teaching activities such as role-playing
and scenario simulation, integrating ecological knowledge into writing teaching, the research confirmed that this teaching model is feasible for
enhancing high school students' interest and ability in English writing and combining AR/VR information technology.
