Systematic Integration of Culture-Themed Teaching in Primary and Secondary English Curriculum: Synergetic Mechanism and Practical Verification for Intercultural Communicative Competence Development

Abstract


In the era of intertwined globalization and localization, the English curriculum in primary and secondary education (basic education) has transcended the scope of language as a mere tool. It now bears the crucial responsibility of fostering students' cultural awareness, intercultural communicative competence, as well as a sense of national identity and global perspective. To explore effective practical pathways
for culture-themed teaching, this study delves into the implementation approaches of culture-themed teaching in the basic education English
curriculum and analyzes its synergetic mechanism for cultivating intercultural communicative competence. The aim is to construct a scientific
practical system for culture-themed teaching, expecting to provide theoretical references and practical paradigms for the reform of cultural
teaching in the basic education English curriculum, and help students grow into intercultural communicators with a global perspective.
