A Comparative Study of Effective Learning Between SPOC Teaching Mode and Traditional Teaching Mode of College English

Abstract


With the rapid development of science and technology, teaching modes are also updated constantly as a result of the newborn of
online teaching, such as MOOC, SPOC teaching modes and so on to promote the effective learning of second language learners. This paper
compares various aspects of SPOC teaching mode and traditional teaching mode of college English class based on SPOC theory with qualitative method, in order to figure out what improvement SPOC teaching mode exceeds the traditional one and whether these improvements can
promote effective learning of second language learners in colleges. This paper hopes to help people have a better understanding of SPOC
teaching mode and effective learning, providing references for the second language learners and foreign language teachers.
