Analysis of Inheritance and Development of Folk Dance in Children's Dance Teaching

Yanpeng Wei

Abstract

This study investigates the preservation and development of folk dance in early childhood education. By analyzing the cultural
significance of folk dance in preschool pedagogy, it examines current challenges in its teaching practices, identifies existing issues, and proposes targeted solutions. The research demonstrates that folk dance plays a vital role in cultivating children's aesthetic appreciation, cultural
awareness, and physical coordination. However, current limitations include insufficient teaching resources, inadequate teacher training, and
repetitive instructional methods. Through measures such as expanding teaching resources, enhancing teacher training programs, and innovating teaching methodologies, this study suggests effective strategies to promote the sustainable development of folk dance education, thereby
establishing a foundation for preserving and innovating folk dance culture.
