Jiani Zhang

Abstract

The development of vocational education faculty has consistently held a pivotal position in China's national strategic planning. A
series of forward-looking policies have been introduced to chart its course, consistently demonstrating a high-quality development orientation
rooted in the "educator spirit". As an applied discipline, the art and design program faces new challenges and opportunities in faculty development under vocational education's influence. This paper analyzes current issues in art and design faculty through the lens of vocational education characteristics, proposing strategies such as optimizing faculty structure, enhancing practical skills, and refining evaluation mechanisms.
These measures aim to provide robust faculty support for talent cultivation in art and design programs, thereby advancing the high-quality
development of vocational education.
