Eight Explanations of Adjectives in the Book of Chen
Abstract
Monographic studies form the foundation of lexical research for specific historical periods. This paper examines terms such as
"Xieming" and "Fengsuan" from the Book of Chen, employing lexicography, dictionary studies, extant historical texts, and philological materials to more accurately deduce their meanings. These terms are not included in the Comprehensive Dictionary of Chinese. This study may
slightly supplement the Comprehensive Dictionary of Chinese and provide some reference for clarifying the text's meaning.
