Research on Improving the Teaching Effect of Advanced Algebra with the Assistance of Information Technology

Yarong Hu

Abstract

Advanced algebra, as a core basic course for mathematics major in colleges and universities, has the characteristics of abstract
concepts and rigorous logic, which makes the traditional teaching mode face the predicament of being difficult for teachers to teach and for
students to learn. The rapid development of information technology has provided a new path for the teaching reform of advanced algebra. Its
advantages of visualization, interactivity and personalization can effectively solve the problem of understanding abstract knowledge. Based
on constructivist learning theory and cognitive load theory, and in combination with the teaching practice of advanced algebra, this paper
analyzes the limitations of traditional teaching models and systematically explores the application paths of information technology in concept
teaching, theorem derivation, and exercise training, aiming to provide practical references for improving the teaching effect of advanced algebra and cultivating students' core mathematical literacy.
