The Real Dilemmas and Optimization Paths of Universal Childcare Services: A Case Study of Guiyang City
Abstract
Developing inclusive childcare services is a key measure to address public concerns and promote high-quality population development. This study focuses on Guiyang City and discovers that its inclusive childcare faces issues such as insufficient parental awareness, lack
of service diversity, imbalance between supply and demand, lagging standard construction, low inclusiveness, and shortage of professional
talents. Therefore, the following multi-party optimization suggestions are proposed: Families should establish a scientific parenting concept;
institutions need to provide diversified services; the government should strengthen the balance of responsibilities between supply and demand,
promote standardization construction, increase investment to enhance inclusiveness, and improve the teacher training system to systematically
promote the improvement and efficiency enhancement of local childcare services.
