Theoretical and Practical Exploration of China Rose Garden Design Based on Landscape Aesthetics

Tongbin Cui

Abstract

As a garden plant with both ornamental value and cultural connotation, Rosa rugosa (or Rosa multiflora, Rosa chinensis) occupy a
special position in the Chinese garden system. Based on the core theory of landscape aesthetics, this paper combines traditional Chinese garden philosophy with modern design concepts to systematically construct a theoretical framework for rose garden design, covering aesthetic
core, design principles, and technical methods, and explores practical approaches through case studies. The research aims to integrate the
traditional "harmony between heaven and humanity" philosophy with modern ecological aesthetics, exploring a rose garden design model that
combines cultural, ecological, and experiential elements, providing theoretical support and practical references for the construction of contemporary specialized gardens.
