Pathways and Practical Exploration of Developing Specialized Curricula in Chaozhou Music for Local Universities

Shen Xu, MOHD ABDULLAH*

Abstract

Local universities developing characteristic courses based on regional cultural resources is an important path for the specialized
development of higher education. Chaozhou music, as a national intangible cultural heritage, carries the cultural genes and artistic characteristics of the Chaoshan region. This study takes the Chaozhou music characteristic courses of local universities as the research object, combs
through the resource basis for course development, constructs a "theory-practice-expansion" course framework, and explores practical paths
from aspects such as university-local collaboration, faculty development, and resource integration. It also summarizes the effectiveness of the
course implementation and the directions for optimization, providing a practical and referential solution for the development of regional music
characteristic courses in local universities.
