The Constituent Dimensions and Cultivation Paths of Digital Literacy for College Foreign Language Teachers
Abstract
quality. Digital literacy encompasses four core dimensions: technology application, instructional design, resource development, and ethical
awareness. These dimensions are interrelated and together constitute a complete literacy system. Currently, foreign language teachers exhibit significant shortcomings in technology tool application, digital instructional design, and personalized digital resource creation, which
constrain the progress of educational digital transformation. The cultivation path needs to advance synergistically from three levels: deep application cultivation, systematic design training, and creation and development enhancement. Through establishing and improving cultivation
mechanisms, optimizing professional development systems, and strengthening practical innovation capabilities, the digital literacy level of
foreign language teachers can be comprehensively improved to promote high-quality development of foreign language education.
