Research on the Teaching Mode of College English Critical Thinking Based on the Output-Oriented Approach

The output-oriented approach is a teaching theory with Chinese characteristics proposed by Chinese scholars based on second language
teaching practices. With "output-driven, input-supported, and selective learning" as its core principles, it breaks the traditional disconnect between
input and output in foreign language teaching, emphasizing the practicality and relevance of instruction. This approach provides a new theoretical
guidance and practical framework for the reform of college English teaching. As an important component of the core competencies of college students in the new era, English critical thinking ability refers to learners 'comprehensive ability to analyze, judge, reason, and evaluate information
using logical, critical, and creative thinking in English application. Its cultivation aligns with the goal of "moral education and talent cultivation"
in college English and the needs of international talent development. In the global context, college English teaching has transcended the mere
transmission of language knowledge and skill training, shouldering the mission of fostering students' critical thinking abilities and comprehensive
competencies. Therefore, in-depth exploration of its application value and teaching models holds significant theoretical and practical importance
