Digital Platforms for Living Transmission of Minority Vocal Heritage Learning Analytics and Cultural Sustainability

Xueying Ma

Abstract

This paper examines how digital platforms support the living transmission of ethnic minority vocal heritage and what this means
for cultural sustainability. Using a lightweight learning-analytics lens, we combine observable platform traces, focused content observation,
and selective interviews. Results show a recurring learning loopexposure, imitation, practice, posting, and feedbackenabled by replayable micro-segments and live interaction. At the same time, platform logics may compress cultural context, promote stylistic convergence,
and complicate attribution and consent. We discuss implications through continuity, diversity, and fairness, and suggest practical steps such as
source disclosure, brief context notes, and community-based feedback routines.
