With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, its application in the field of education has become increasingly
extensive. Focusing on the artificial intelligence-empowered adaptive learning system in higher education, this paper first elaborates on the
concept and importance of the adaptive learning system in higher education. Then it deeply explores the key technologies of artificial intelligence empowering this system, including data collection and processing, machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms, as well as
intelligent interaction technologies. Subsequently, it analyzes in detail the application key points of artificial intelligence-empowered adaptive
learning system in higher education, such as the formulation of personalized learning plans, intelligent teaching resource recommendation,
and real-time learning monitoring and feedback. Finally, the conclusion is drawn, emphasizing the important role and future development
