Zhun Lin, Ruoshui Sun, Yue Ding

Abstract

The ability of piano improvisation is an important component of the core professional qualities of college students majoring in
music, representing a comprehensive ability that integrates playing skills, music theory, and artistic creativity. This study, based on the
practice of piano teaching in universities, analyzes the core value of cultivating the ability of piano improvisation, examines the practical
difficulties in the current cultivation process, and proposes targeted cultivation strategies from five dimensions: teaching content, training
mode, practical cultivation, thinking shaping, and teacher team building. The aim is to provide practical references for the reform of piano
teaching in music majors in colleges and universities and to promote the students ability to transition from "skill-based performance" to
"creative expression".
