Xunmeng Ji, Kou Heung*

Abstract

In recent years, higher education has expanded rapidly and shifted from an elite to a mass system. This study investigates academic
satisfaction among fine arts students by examining the effect of learning engagement and the mediating role of resilience. Based on theoretical
analysis, a research model was developed to test the proposed relationships.A total of 1036 fine arts students from five universities in Jiangsu
Province, China, completed questionnaires from January 38, 2026, using scales of learning engagement, resilience, and academic satisfac
tion. Using SPSS 27.0, analyses included descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression. Results indicated
significant positive correlations among learning engagement, resilience, and academic satisfaction, and confirmed that resilience mediates the
relationship between learning engagement and academic satisfaction.
