University Teachers' Professional Identity: Influencing Factors and Development Pathways

Abstract


The professional identity of university teachers refers to their affirmation of the value of their profession, emotional attachment, and
consistent actions. It is closely related to the stability of teachers and the quality of higher education talent cultivation. With the continuous
deepening of China's higher education reform, the professional identity of university teachers is also facing real challenges. This article, based
on the actual teaching work in universities, analyzes the main factors affecting professional identity, combines internal personal factors with
external institutional and environmental factors, and purposefully explores scientific and feasible development paths. The aim is to enable uni
versity teachers to establish a firm professional belief, alleviate job burnout, enhance professional sense of belonging and responsibility, and
provide reference for relevant universities.
