Reform and Practice of Fixture Design and Application Course Based on CATIA

Zhenli Guo, Xiuling Wang, Xueyao Zhang, Xiaoli Wang

Abstract

In the context of digital transformation in the machinery manufacturing industry, CATIA, as a mainstream 3D design software, is
increasingly widely used in the field of fixture design. However, there are many issues in current university-level course teaching that are out
of touch with industry needs. This article delves into the pain points of traditional CATIA fixture design teaching, and proposes a series of
teaching reform strategies based on actual industry needs and advanced teaching concepts. The aim is to enhance students' practical abilities
and employability, and to cultivate high-quality application-oriented talents for the machinery manufacturing industry.
