Avoiding the "Pragmatism" Trap in School-Enterprise Cooperation: Constructing Moral Education Pathways in "Cooperative Teaching" in Vocational Colleges

Yequan Hu

Abstract

School-enterprise "cooperative teaching" is not only a vital approach to expanding students' professional practical abilities, enhancing vocational technical skills, and strengthening employment competitiveness but also a significant pathway for moral education. However,
under the market mechanism, school-enterprise cooperation often falls into the "pragmatism" trap, focusing primarily on the training of "practical" vocational skills while relegating moral education practices to a mere formality. Based on this, this paper first analyzes the multiple
connotations of "cooperative teaching" in vocational colleges, clarifying that "cooperation" encompasses collaborative school management,
teaching, and moral education. Subsequently, it examines the "pragmatism" trap encountered in the cooperative teaching process and its detrimental effects. Finally, the paper proposes strategies for constructing moral education pathways in school-enterprise "cooperative teaching"
from the perspectives of management, implementation, and assessment. Guided by the goal of students' comprehensive development in moral,
intellectual, and physical aspects, the paper advocates for the integration of professional practical teaching with moral education to ensure that
"cooperative teaching" ultimately achieves the goal of "holistic education."
