Construction and Research on the Integration Path of Cultural Confidence and Intercultural Understanding in Junior High School English under the New Curriculum Standard

Shuai Wu, Xinrui Wang

Abstract

The 2022 English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education takes cultural awareness as one of English's four core competencies, driving junior high school English teaching to shift from pure language training to the dual goals of language and cultural education.
Integrating cultural confidence and intercultural understanding is vital for this transformation. Using literature review, theoretical deduction
and case analysis, this study defines the two concepts, clarifies relevant theories, analyzes teaching dilemmas, builds the CECIC model and
puts forward an evaluation mechanism. It aims to solve superficial cultural teaching problems, cultivate students with patriotism and global
vision, and support the connotative development of junior high school English education.
