Application of PDCA Cycle in Project-Based Teaching of Lifeboat and Raft Proficiency Training Course
Abstract
Aiming at prominent drawbacks in the current project-based teaching of Lifeboat and Raft Proficiency course, including ambiguous
teaching objectives, inadequate whole-process teaching control, monotonous assessment system and the absence of continuous improvement
mechanism, this paper introduces the PDCA Cycle model in accordance with the course's features of complying with STCW Convention and
centering on practical offshore survival tasks. A closed-loop periodic management consisting of objective formulation, task implementation,
process supervision and review & optimization is constructed to realize spiral upgrading of teaching quality.
