The Practice of English Learning Activity View in Senior High School English Reading Teaching --Taking From Page to Screen as an example

Yuxi Zhao

Abstract

The English Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools (2017 Edition, Revised in 2020) takes core literacy cultivation as the fundamental goal and proposes the English learning activity view, which provides guidance for senior high school English reading
teaching reform. Traditional reading teaching faces problems such as fragmentation and instrumentalization, failing to promote students' allround literacy development. Based on interpreting the English learning activity view, this paper takes the text From Page to Screen as a case,
elaborates on its teaching design and implementation, and analyzes the practice from multiple dimensions. It concludes that this view can integrate curriculum elements, construct a student-centered mode, and realize the unity of language learning, thinking development and cultural
perception, and finally puts forward practical enlightenment to provide reference for teaching reform.
