How to Reduce English Writing Anxiety among Senior High School Students
Abstract
style and so on will have different degrees of influence on their foreign language writing level. Among many factors, anxiety is regarded as
the emotional element that has the greatest impact on students' foreign language learning, and students are prone to having writing anxiety in
the learning process. Writing anxiety can lead to avoidance behavior, which is detrimental to the development of writing skills. Therefore, it is
necessary to reduce their writing anxiety. This paper discusses the manifestation, causes and solutions of high school students' writing anxiety.
Solutions include scientific and effective ways to accumulate basic language knowledge, scaffolding (Mind map, Word bank), and anonymous
peer feedback in order to reduce students' writing anxiety.
