Study on Cooperative Teaching Methods Based on the Rain Classroom Platform — A Case Study of Advanced Mathematics
Abstract
engagement and inefficient offline group collaboration, which mainly arises from the uneven mathematical foundations among students. As a
lightweight intelligent teaching platform integrated with PPT and WeChat, Rain Classroom enables group seminars, real-time classroom interaction and full-cycle tracking of learning data, making up for prominent management loopholes in conventional offline group learning. Supported by cooperative learning theory, this paper takes Advanced Mathematics for finance and economics majors as the research carrier and
establishes a three-stage closed-loop teaching framework consisting of pre-class online collaboration, in-class layered inquiry and post-class
project expansion. A parallel controlled teaching experiment is carried out with the teaching unit Economic Application of Definite Integral
as a typical case. Comparative experimental data verify that this teaching model can significantly curb free-riding behaviors within learning
groups, relieve students' widespread mathematics anxiety, and comprehensively improve their capacities for mathematical modeling and team
cooperation. Furthermore, the research delivers practical and operable digital reform plans for general mathematics courses offered by other
similar application-oriented undergraduate colleges.
