Application of Exercise Physiology in Dance Fundamental Training

Zherui Ma, Zhiyu Wei

Abstract

Dance fundamental training imposes rigorous demands on dancers' physical conditioning, muscular strength, joint flexibility, and
neuromuscular coordination. Exercise physiology provides a comprehensive theoretical foundation for the scientific advancement of dance
training. This study explores the physiological basis of dance fundamentals from the perspectives of aerobic and anaerobic fitness, muscular
strength, and body composition. It analyzes the pivotal role of conditioned reflex theory in motor pattern consolidation and skill acquisition.
By examining representative fundamental movements, this study elucidates the specific applications of exercise physiology in motor learning, body shaping, and injury prevention. The findings demonstrate that integrating exercise physiology principles into the dance fundamental
training system enhances the scientific rigor and efficiency of training, effectively reduces the risk of sports-related injuries, promotes continuous improvement in dancers' technical proficiency, and safeguards the long-term professional development of dancers.
