Abstract


The historical origin of the residential buildings in Langshi Ancient Village can be traced back to the local geographical and cultural
background. Early residents chose to settle here due to its unique natural resources and good water sources. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, with the development of agriculture and population growth, villages gradually prospered and architectural styles gradually formed. In
addition, the villagers use local stone and wood, integrating local architectural techniques to make the houses both practical and aesthetically
pleasing, becoming a unique cultural symbol of Langshi Ancient Village. Starting from the characteristics of traditional residential buildings
in Langshi Village, this article discusses the cultural connotations of the residential buildings in Langshi Ancient Village, and finally analyzes
the aesthetic value of the residential buildings in Langshi Ancient Village, hoping to provide help for related research.
