Conflict and Integration A Study of Dichotomy in Moby Dick
Abstract
presents the dichotomy between Captain Ahab and Moby Dick as well as the dichotomy between human beings and nature symbolized behind
the subject. This paper attempts to study the dichotomous structures in the novel and explore how these oppositions construct and deepen the
theme of the story in order to show Melvilles ecological consciousness.
