Research on the Cultural Heritage Value Assessment and Revitalisation Strategy of Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou
Abstract
a material cultural heritage site with profound historical and cultural significance, holds multiple values. The value of Quanzhou Kaiyuan
Temple lies not only in its material aspects but also in the historical, religious, and cultural information it carries. In response to current challenges such as the accelerated disappearance of heritage, insufficient protection technologies, and conflicts with commercial development, this
study proposes revitalisation strategies. By balancing commercial interests with heritage protection while safeguarding the core values of the
heritage, these strategies aim to stimulate the intrinsic vitality of the heritage, promote the sustainable development of cultural heritage, and
enhance economic benefits, enabling more people to share in the blessings brought by this precious cultural heritage.
