The Construction and Evolution of Chinas National Image in Foreign Film and Television Works: A Review of Relevant Literature
Abstract
works, focusing on their characteristics, evolutionary trajectory, and underlying causes. This study finds that China's image in foreign film and
television is multifaceted, with negative and stereotypical portrayals coexisting with objective and positive ones, shaped by cultural, ideological, and Sino-foreign relational factors. Existing research lacks exploration of deep mechanisms and emerging media platforms, suggesting
future focus on comparative studies and analysis of cultural, political, and economic motivations to enhance China's international image.
