Research on the Synesthetic Translation Mechanism of Color and Music

Honglian Pan

Abstract

Based on the transposition and conversion of color scales and musical scales, as well as the modal correspondence and resonance
between color and sound, this study categorizes and investigates the transformation pathways of color-sound synesthesia. It derives corresponding quantitative values for color-sound synesthesia, finding that modal correspondence is broader and more applicable than the conversion of color scales and musical scales. Furthermore, through the analysis of applications in architectural design, Internet+, and visual design,
it provides valuable references for the interchange and realization of color-sound synesthesia.
