Chinese Philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine

Zhitong Sun

Abstract

The development and concepts of Chinese philosophy and Chinese medicine are highly overlapping. It is very meaningful to examine the relationship and development between the two. We will look at the relationship between Chinese philosophy and Chinese medicine
from three perspectives: natural law, psychology, and qi. A correct understanding of Chinese philosophy is the prerequisite for a better understanding of Chinese medicine. On the other hand, the problems currently faced by Chinese philosophy and traditional Chinese medicine are
also very similar due to the commonality of their conceptual systems. We examine the way traditional medicine is handled in Japan and South
Korea to gain some inspiration for the current status and development of Chinese medicine. Chinese philosophy and Chinese medicine will
develop better by facing and solving problems.
