Different Musical Styles' Different Shaping of Piano Learners' Auditory Imagination

Yixiang Zhang

Abstract

Auditory imagination serves as the core competency for piano learners to transform musical notation into three-dimensional soundscapes and elevate musical elements into emotional experiences. The developmental level of this ability directly determines the artistic expressiveness and emotional resonance of performances. As the "cultural DNA" of musical works, musical styles embody specific aesthetic
paradigms of their era, national emotional characteristics, and creators 'artistic philosophies, providing concrete frameworks for shaping auditory imagination. In piano learning, the modal characteristics, rhythmic logic, harmonic systems, and emotional expression patterns inherent
in different musical styles exert differentiated influences on learners' auditory imagination dimensions, breadth, and depth through auditory
stimulation and cognitive processing. This paper explores the intrinsic connection between musical style connotations and auditory imagination, focusing on analyzing the differential impacts of various styles. The research provides theoretical support and practical pathways for
piano learners to enhance auditory imagination and strengthen performance expressiveness.
