Modern Transcreation and Application of Traditional Landscaping Techniques in Environmental Art Design

Kaili Zhang

Abstract

Traditional landscaping techniques are the crystallization of Chinese traditional culture and natural aesthetics, embodying the aes
thetic pursuit and life wisdom of the ancients regarding "the theory that man is an integral part of nature". They still hold great application
value in modern environmental art design. Based on the practical implementation in everyday contexts like residential communities, urban
parks, and interior courtyards, this study delves into the core essence of traditional landscaping techniques, analyzes principles and concrete
approaches for their modern transcreation, addressing issues of formalization and homogenization in contemporary transcreation, proposes
context-sensitive implementation strategies to authentically integrate these techniques into modern living environment, fostering a symbiotic
relationship between cultural heritage and contemporary environment, and ultimately enhancing both the aesthetic value and humanistic depth
of modern space.
