Research on Public Communication Pathways of Art Therapy from the Perspective of Communication Studies

Weizhen Guan

Abstract

In terms of society, public demand for mental health continues to rise, and the value of art therapy is gradually being recognized.
However, issues such as insufficient awareness, limited promotion channels, and low content relevance prevent art therapy from fully exerting
its social healing function and its value in aesthetic education. This paper, based on communication studies, breaks down the core components
of the public communication process, reviews the various challenges faced in current development, and proposes multiple practical com
munication paths grounded in communication theory. The findings can provide theoretical support and practical directions for art therapy to
overcome existing communication limitations, promote public accessibility, enhance mental health, and improve the current model of social
aesthetic education.
