Impact of Internet Use and Export-Oriented Lifestyle on Physical and Mental Health: An Empirical Study Based on CGSS2021 Survey Data

Yaqiong Li

Abstract

In today's evolving social landscape, individuals are placing increasing emphasis on physical and mental health. Based on
CGSS2021 data, this study employs ordered Logit models, generalized ordered Logit models, and Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) models to
examine the impact of internet usage and extroverted lifestyles on mental and physical health. The findings reveal that both internet engagement and extroverted lifestyles exhibit significant positive effects on well-being. Additionally, gender, education level, socioeconomic status,
and family financial conditions demonstrate substantial correlations with mental and physical health outcomes. Recommendations include enhanced government oversight of online information to prevent the spread of harmful content, alongside improved infrastructure development
to provide comprehensive guidance and support for diverse lifestyle choices.
