A Three-dimensional Study on English Translation of Basic Theoretical Terms in Tibetan Medicine

Abstract


Nowadays, the dissemination of Tibetan medicine (TM) is becoming wider, in which the role of TM translation is apparent. However, the development does not match actual status of TM indeed. Starting from three-dimensionality of State Translation Program, this paper
discusses translation strategies and methods of basic theoretical terms in TM in the Chinas Tibetan Medicine, hoping to spread Chinese culture and contribute to construction of Chinese international discourse power in the world.
